I love to fantasize that I'm a "real farm wife." You know, one that can milk a cow with one hand tied behind her back and wash sheets on an old washboard in the backyard while the lids on the last batch of canned tomatoes rattle on the stove top. Just because I grew up in the heart of Chicago doesn't disqualify me. I married a Michigan farmer. The children are grown now. I'm a rare bird, free to drag an Airstream trailer through our National Parks, solo--unless you count my dog, a German Shorthaired Pointer, who rides "Shotgun." My husband prefers sheep hunting and North American game so, once the crops are planted, we part ways--each to follow a dream. Under the Northern Lights, I roll with a canoe on top of my truck and somehow manage to keep it all between the ditches. Did someone say camping, cribbage and campfires? Bass fishing is my passion. In 2015, I earned my Master Angler patch for a 52" Muskie while trolling with a simple night crawler harness. That cluster grab is a story all by itself! My motto: -- "The world is full of flat squirrels who couldn't make a decision."
